10/19/10…Kortrijk, Belgium @ The Pits w/ Brutal Knights

Half white chocolate/half hazelnut spread and vegan was presented to us this fine morning. So damn good. I’m thinking about how people in Germany think that this burrito place in hamburg is a good burrito place. I mean it’s probably the best they have but really a homemade burrito is far better than this. I know we live on the eastcoast and we are far from having the best burritos, but I know what makes a good burrito. Good stretchy fresh tortillas, starchy beans, salt, lime, and cilantro. The rest is whatever, but you need those aforementioned ingredients to be spot on. It reminds me of when Matt Welch took us to some place called “mimis Alaskan tacos” in tampa. Really Alaskan tacos?? It’s too far away from mexico to be good. That being said they were lacking those key ingredients. It was like eting uncle bens rice with baked beans or something.

We showed up to the venue a little late and they were waiting for us to get there. The place was this iny hole in the wall bar but completely packed with raging punks. It was awesome seeing the dudes in Brutal Knights. Apparently this plce has been doing shows for 20+ years. People were diving off of the bar while we were playing. The bartenders were diving/moshing and then going back to serving drinks, it was insane. Also when you walked into the venue there was a urinal right next to where the merch was. No shame, just piss in a crowd. Apparently there was some old guy there, a local crazy, named hermes or something that kept pouring beer on peoples dicks as they were pissing. Brutal Knights was awesome. People went off for them. They played Commando by the Ramones and I dove off the bar.

One of the ladies who helped with the show/bartended took us to her place to crash out afterward. I went back with her to the bar and hung out with the knights. Later that night we stayed up and watched Raging Grannies or Rabid Grannies. I forget the name but it was a pretty entertaing troma flick that was apparently filmed in Kortrijk.

10/19/10…Gottingen, Germany @ Juzi w/ Ruidosa Immundicia

We both woke up relatively early and went back to the pitts for breakfast. Nick or Jeff brought up the fact that the guitar player was in Chokehold and I think he was kind of bummed. Not that Nick or Jeff are into Chokehold but it seemed something of interest to talk about. It was funny. The drummer of BK reminds me of Will Ferrel so much . Oh and for some reason while BK was playing a group of kids started singing that Starland Vocal Band song “afternoon delight”. I wonder if it was an Anchorman reference? I hope it was. Definitely awesome hanging out with those dudes.

When we showed up to Juzi they had an incredible meal waiting for us. Vegan Lasagna, salad, and coconut rice pudding. Damn it was good. The people in Ruidosa Immundicia were really cool. We will be seing them 2 more times on this tour. We played kicker with some folks and as usual we were overly excited/competitive and got our asses handed to us. So much fun. RI killed it. So fast, no stops, raging Crudos style hc punk. We got the kids at the venue to put two big screws in front of the bass drum so it wouldn’t move. Damn good idea. The crowd was kind of tame but the show was still fun. We stayed with some of the kids who helped at the show space. They lived right in the center of the city which was walking distance from the venue. Awesome night.

10/21/10..Leipzig, Germany @ Liwi w/ Deiskoncidos, Ruidosa Immundicia

In the morning I went on a stroll through the center to try and buy a sweatshirt because it was getting really cold outside. No luck though, everything was pretty expensive. Went to the venue for breakfast with RI. This time there was no sweet jam most of everything was salty, which I’m into. There was some sort of mashed up red beans, mashed chickpeas with turmeric and cumin and something else, pretty good. There was also an area that had some free clothing so I grabbed a hoodie and a pretty sick scarf. Leipzig was a lot closer than we expected. We ended up getting there really early. Upon arrival there was a group of sketchy/homeless looking skinheads in front of the venue. For lack of any sort of direction in the city I asked one of them where Zoro was. I heard a few nights before from the brutal knights dudes that zoro has some really good vegan food. I also stepped in a bunch of dog shit right outside of the van. Oh well. The skinhead and his compadre led us to Zoro with his little cart filled with posters and beer. It was only a few blocks away. We found out the Zoro was a squat that had a record store in it and the vegan food was in a restaurant in front of the squat called Zest. We ended up running into the show promoter/record store guy inside Zoro. Nico, Jubert, and I went to Zest while the other walked around to find some Doner. Big mistake for the others because Zest had seriously some of the best vegan food I have ever had. When you walk in you are kind of off put because it looks really fancy and hip. Mood lighting, interesting tables, fashionable host, and menus with tiny print in the corners of the page. I got a sandwhich called the Alamo Melt which was freshly baked thick sliced multi grain bread, cashew cheese, rainbow chard, homemade smoked seitan that was charred out the outside, and the whole thing was slightly grilled in olive oil. On the side was this potato salad with the cashew based cream sauce. The meal was huge and only cost around 7 euro. Absolutely incredible. The one time I didn’t have my camera to take a picture. We also found out that the food being cooked for the bands was going to be made by the head chef of Zest. Score.

Afterward we went to the record store in Zoro which was called “The needle and the damage done” after the neil young song. When I asked the guy at the store if it was named after that neil young song he said “yeah unfortunately” hahaha. I love neil young, suck it. This was really the only time I bought records beside the Gordon Gano’s 7” in the UK. I got the repress of Expression of Pain by Excruciating Terror, The new Masshysteri LP, and an OG pressing of Post Regiments Czarly. Oh and an Extortion 7”. The show started super late and started even later because the PA wasn’t working. The dudes in Deiskoncidos were very cool. RI played first and killed it as usual. DK played next and were awesome. The guitarist warmed up with a smiths song. His guitar tone is crazy. Almost Blatz-esq. We played pretty well but the guitars were kind of quiet and sounded weird. People were pretty still the entire night until we played. Some awkward euro mosh was present for sure. Also sandro from RSR showed up. Always good seeing that man. We ended up sleeping at Zoro. The room we were in was fortunately heated by a wood stove.

10/22/10…Berlin, Germany @ Scharni 38 w/ Short Fuse and Rebarker

Had another breakfast with the RI folks. Headed to Berlin and went straight to the venue. The drive was only 2.5 hours. Martin who was living at Scharni and also helping with the show was there when we arrived and invited us in for tea and coffee. We tried to find the Berlin wall but ended u just finding some rubble near some train tracks. Nico, Jubert, and I went to this sick vegan fast food place called Yo Yo. I got a cheese shnitzel sandwich with fries. Pretty good but not amazing. They had like 30 choices, I will make it back sooner. I later on found out that the pizza was off the chain, oh well. I went out to find some vegan nutella stuff to bring back home and ended finding a “Bio” store. Which is just an organic market. This show also started pretty late. The place filled up pretty fast. It was kind of surprising because there was a fest going on at Kopi that RI and some other bands were playing. There ended up being around 140 paying people. Graham from Hombrinus Dudes was there. He was traveling around and found out about the show. It was great to see him. Short Fuse was really good, 86 mentality/United Mutation hc. The sound was really bad when they played though, all you could really hear was the vocals. When we played there was literally no room to move. I had to push people to the side to get to the stage. People were crammed all the way to the stairs. If you were in the back you could barely see the band. People went crazy when we played. Some guy ripped open this giant bag of confetti while we were playing. Even though I have no idea how it was possible, people were stage diving. Seriously one of the best shows Coke Bust has played. Really awesome. This band from spain hopped on the show and played after us. I think they played for an hour and a half. It was SO LONG. We stayed at Scharni and shared a room with this free spirited Australian traveler lady who told Nico some story of stars and moons or something before we went to sleep. I was so tired I couldn’t really comprehend what was going on.

10/13/10…Canterbury, England @ The Chantry Social Club w/ Tremors, Human Junk, Ripped to Shreds, Man Hands, Mouth

Said goodbye to our pogger bastards. Had to show Ollie how to make coffee, who’s the pogger now? Got to Cantebury quite early. Nico and I ate at this crappy Chinese food place while the others went to a grocery store. Upon arrival the show was looking pretty grim. There was maybe 2 kids there and the bar tenders. We played pool for a little while and then darts. After that people started showing up. The crowd in Canterbury was very fashionable, very clean cut. Even though there was a million bands playing this show it was tolerable because all the bands were good. Tremors especially stood out. The singer was really intense. He grabbed some kid by his shirt as if the kid was going to sing a long and then just pushed him backward into a pint glass that shattered everywhere. Backed. The never again dudes were there, sucks they couldn’t play these last few shows. We will hopefully see them for their last show in Sweden. After the show we stayed t the promoters house. We got falafel at this place down the street. Nico got cheesy fries, cheesy cheesy fries.

10/14/10…Antwerp, Belgium @ Juegdcentrum Den Eglanter w/ Reproach, Get Wise, Bite Down

Woke up early and took the ferry back to mainland Europe. Laura Fox and Wim were doing the show tonight. Both of them have helped us out so much on this tour so far. From calling the people at the ferry to getting merch for us and recovering our lost luggage. We really owe a lot to them. We also had some duckets for Laura for selling all of her fanzines (Milkshake) in the UK. Laura made some delicious food for us. The venue was a youth recreation center. They had a big stage upstairs and a smaller one downstairs. We played the smaller one. The bands were all pretty good. Reproach killed it though really fast and a Lack of Interest cover. After the show we went back to Wim and Laura’s [place where Laura made us vegan Belgian waffles with vegan nutella chocolate spread and this called speculos. It was like cookie dough and teddy graham flavored peanut butter. So good. They were stocked with vegan goodies. Sleep was really good.

10/15/10…Bremen, Germany @ G18 w/ Plague Mass.

Woke up relatively late, ate breakfast and unloaded the stuff from the venue. In Germany most of the rest stops make you pay to use the bathroom. There is a machine that you drop money into and then you can pass through this gate. We have been just ducking underneath them all. Pay to use the bathroom? I think not. When we showed up to the show in Germany it was starting to get really cold. There was delicious soup waiting for us that the promoter made for us. The plague mass guys were really nice. One of them looked really familiar and I couldn’t pinpoint where I knew him from. He came up to me later in the night and I was wearing a Lemuria shirt and he said that he had played the Fest in Gainesville and that’s definitely where I saw him. He also said that his other band played the Electric Maid in DC and one of the ladies from New Habitat did there show. Small world. We played a few games of kicker and got our asses whooped by the Germans. They are naturally good kicker players so it was quite unfair. One of the guys was wearing a hat where he drew a coke bust logo on the brim. The show was pretty raging and the space filled up toward the end of the night. It’s been kind of crazy playing these shows and lots of people knowing the words to our songs. Definitely did not expect that. We had a really long drive ahead of us so we crashed early. Jeff stayed in the van because apparently the area was bad.

10/16/10…Gothenburg, Sweden @ Nordengarden w/ Anchor, Stay Hungry, Never Again, Common Cause, Royal Rumble, No Cause

The 8hr drive turned into almost 1 with traffic and taking the ferry over into to Denmark. On the ferry we were trying to scour for leftover food but had no luck. I got really nauseous on this trip. When we got to Sweden it was super cold. Something like 28 degrees out. I was definitely not prepared for it. Justin Jardine from Wisconsin was there! He is studying abroad in Germany but I guess was around for a short vacation. Good to see him. We got there as the 2^nd band was playing. The promoter Marcus said he was starting to get worried that we weren’t going to show up. This show was an “Edge Day” celebration. So all the bands were straightedge. Lots of distros, food, and 2 tattoo artists. Lots of regrettable tattoos for sure. The kids in Never Again are good people. It was nice hanging out with them. Never Again and Common Cause stood out the most for me. Playing after Stay Hungry was pretty intimidating because they seemed to be the local favorites and everyone knew their songs. When we played the place went off though. The tom holder broke while I was playing so I just took it off, the drums were moving all over the place because the stage was falling apart and I eventually put a hole in the bass drum. Fortunately that came at the end of our set. Marcus and Steffan put together a really good well run fest. It ended up being a lot of fun . Nick and I got in these inflatable sumo costumes and wrestled each other in the back area for a little while with jubert jumping in here and there. There was also a kid who took an 18 hour train ride from Umea just to see us! He looked very much like Orion from Ilsa. I was also super surprised as to how many people knew the words to our songs and called out songs while we were playing. After the show us and the Never Again guys went to this burger joint that they were pressed on that apparently was “really good”. In reality it was just a 2^nd rate mcdonalds called “MAX” that had some vegan options. Pogger bastards. Another thing worthy of mentioning is that the people who work at fast food places in Sweden are 1. Generally good looking 2. Wear nice uniforms. We stopped at a Mcdonalds to use the bathroom on the way to the show and the people working there were wearing these hip checkered button ups. The people at Max’s were wearing fancy chef garb. It was quite strange. We were also told its very hard to get a job at these places. Apparently they are “good jobs over here”. When we left there was this group of hippy kids in front of us wearing drug rugs and one of them threw his trash on the ground and we gave him shit. He ended up jokingly sieg heiling us and saying a bunch of stuff in Swedish. Swedish hippies are interesting. We stayed with Marcus and his girlfriend that night.

10/17/10...Karlskrona, Sweden @ Oden w/

Woke up to a nice euro-breakfast. Steffan came over to an interview with us for his fanzine. The itinerary for the show tonight said something crazy like load in at 16, food at 17 and show at 19. That’s a lot of time to load in and eat, right? We showed up around 18:00 and still waited around 2 hours for the show to start. The average age was about 17 years old. The first 2 bands were around that age. The second band kind of sounded like ETA and then covered a municipal waste song haha. The kids ended up raging when we played and it turned out to be pretty fun. We went looking for food after the show but everything was closed. We headed back to the youth center where the show was and the kids gave us the ok to rummage through the cabinets to cook something. I whipped up some pasta with some veggies. The youth center was huge and kind of creepy. So many locked rooms and empty dark echoey halls.

10/18/10…Hamburg, Germany. @ Rote Flora w/ At Half Mast

Woke up early as hell to catch the ferry. I’m so sick of eating French fries. French fries being the only vegan thing you can get on those things and at most rest stops. The area where the venue was pretty hip. Lots of fancy clothing stores and coffee shops. There was a burrito place (nick, Jeremy, and jeff went there and said it was terrible as id imagine a german burrito would be) right near the venue. The venue was a squat with a food co-op in the back so there lots of folks coming in and out of that place. There was also a group of dudes running drugs in and out of it and for some reason kept offering them to nick. The at half mast guys let us use their equipment which was really nice. We played with them a few years ago in some backyard in Fresno, California. The venue started to fill up pretty nicely. I played like shit. My bass drum pedal snapped in half while I was paying and lug nuts were literally falling out of the tom head as I was playing it. Not to mention the bass drum was sliding everywhere. Story of my life. Before we played they served food in the food co op but the line was super long so we had to wait for awhile. It was a pretty wild mix of homeless, crusty kids, traveling anarchists, random passer bys, and the bands eating. I only ate a few bites because if I eat to much before I play I play slow and sloppy. Soi put the rest on this seat next to nicos distro. I later find out that he knocked it over, probably on purpose because he is such a spiteful bastard. Just kidding, totally on accident but I made him feel bad about it hahah. Afterward we crashed with these ids who helped with the show. They were all vegan, so they had a wide selection of weird german spreads. I ordered flowers to be delivered to Sheena’s work for her birthday a while ago. I hope they got there.

CONT…Especially Bonestorm who had the drummer of the Voorhees and the horror. People went off when we played. Right after we played we jetted to Nottingham.

2^nd Show in Nottingham, England @ Upstairs at the Central with Curb Crawl and Sick Fuckin-O.

When we arrived there were all these grim looking metal guys downstairs. I guess they were playing the other portion of the pub. Later on we found out it was Avulsed. Weird. Anywho the bands that played were cool Curb Crawl and Sick Fuckin-O. Sick Fn-O had the singer from Voorhees. They were especially good. While I was playing the bass drum kept falling off the stage. At one point these guys taped drumsticks to the stage to block the bass drum from falling off but I blasted that into shit. This equipment is next level shitty. One of the cymbal stands kept falling over too. I was getting progressively more and more angry as the the drumset started disintegrating. All in all the set was awesome. People went off and it was a lot of fun. Oliver from Leeds and his cronies came out. He got me an Iron Bru (sick Scottish soda). I also got a pancake flavored snack bar called a hobknob. Pretty damn good. After the show we went to the promoter’s house. Alex and Caroline had a cool little apartment. They made us some delicious curry. The Brits love that curry. Also drank some “proper” Yorkshire tea. Jubert since loosing all his clothes was given a legit fred perry and some other shirts. He actually looks presentable now.

10/11/10…Glasgow, Scotland @ the Glasgow School of Art-U Bar…w/ Curb Crawl, Lobotomies

Alex and Caroline made us a “proper” English breakfast with beans and toast, crumpets, and Yorkshire tea. On the way to Glasgow we stopped at this road café called the Llama Karma Café/Deli-Llama. It was this super peaceful farm café with llamas, monkeys, doves, parrots, guinea pigs, rabbits, and ferrets. It ruled. The curb craw dudes ended up stopping in there too. When we showed in Glasgow it was really cold. The venue was literally inside this art school. The school has its own venue/bar. A lot of people came out for a weeknight. There was also like 5 opening bands before we played. People went crazy when we played. We got asked to do an interview after we played by this kid for his zine. The kid who put us up made us some good food and we watched freddy got fingered. I forgot how stupid that movie was. Good waste of time though.

10/12/10…Leeds, England @ The Packehorse w/ Rot in Hell, Valhalla Pascifists, Bonestorm

In the morning the kid took us to this vegan café/bar called Mono that was also a record store. They brewed their own beer there too. We all got traditional Scottish food but vegan. It was awesome . Jeff and I got a “big breakfast” which had haggis, bacon, some kind of porage/scrapple thing, mushrooms and potatoes. Nico got a cheesecake because French people only eat sweet things for breakfast. We hurried back to the van because we were running late. Got to Leeds a lot faster than we thought even with hitting traffic. Ollie and his crew were there to great us. Nick, Jeremy, and Jeff got fish and chips next door and I got some falafel. All were pretty bangin. The room was probably enough to hold 30 people comfortably but there was easily around 75 people people there. Rot in Hell had the guitarist from the Voorhees/the horror in it. They were awesome. Bonestorm had some technical difficulties but were still quite qood. Valhalla Pascifists killed it. So fast, maybe played a 10 minute set. What a breath of fresh air to come to Europe and se a band play a short set. My attention span can’t handle these 45 minute sets that the euros keep cranking out. Our set went over pretty well. At this show our guitar head officially kicked the bucket. We ended up borrowing a bass head too because it started getting progressively quieter during the set. I borrowed all the drum hardware. This is starting to get ridiculous.

After the gig we headed to Ollie’s place which was in this swanky student housing. When we were walking up there was 3 sneaky foxes scouring the yard. Apparently these foxes hang out with this old lady’s cats who also lives there. Crazy. Ollie and his buddy made us some good vegan spaghetti and meatballs. We spent te majority of the night making fun of each others cultures. Good times.

10/9/10…London, England The Threshold Center

After the Mulheim show we drove immediately to Hesdin, France where our driver Nicolas is from. He woke up like 3 hours after we got there to go get a new tire for the van. Soon there after we ate baguettes and his famous homemade marmalade and headed for Calais. We got on the ferry to Dover. The drive was pretty quick to London. Upon arrival we went to Nick’s sister Emily’s place and relaxed, ate some food, etc.

The show was at this community center place where it would be the first HC show they have done. It was some sort of benefit. I’m unclear as to what the benefit was for. My homie Anna Vo and her boy showed up. Olga who I met last time in London was there holding it down. The first 2 bands were kind of weird. Both from Belgium, one had members of Justice. I can’t really describe their music. They did play for quite a long time though. The bnd after they was Abolition , this 90’s esq vegan sXe metalcore band. We played after and the place exploded. It was crazy. Our equipment was falling apart all over the place. Really one of the worst drumsets I’ve played on. Not that I really give a shit, the drumset I have at home sucks, but we are paying to rent this crap. It didn’t stop us from crushing London though. Seriously a great show. Birony/Big Takeover crew held it down.

I left my shoes and the extortion shirt I just bought the night before at the show and someone snagged it. I got the shoes back the next day though.

Cops came right at the end of the show because some punks were pissing in a neighbors yard. Last and first HC show at this spot. Bummer.

10/10/2010…Birmingham,England @ Wagon and Horses (show 1)

Woke up and stopped at some jewish bakery on the way out of the city. I got really strong coffee and one of the best falafel sandwhiches I have ever had. The pita was fresh, I t was the first falafel of the day, the f-balls were dark on the inside, nice and crispy on the outside, fully cooked, fresh hummus with a good amount of tahini, good veggies, just awesome.

This show was the first of 2 shows we had today. The venue was above a small pub. They had a pretty nice back patio area to hang out on also. When we showed up it didn’t seem like there was too many people there but they were all hiding on the patio. The promoter made us some chana masala and dahl. The bands who opened were pretty damn good. …CONT

CONT...Our morning consisted of waking up @ 7 driving to Berlin (2 hrs in traffic) to pickup the gear for the coke bust tour, dropping RJ and Avi off at the train station, driving to frankfurt (6 hrs in traffic) to pick up the coke bust guys, running around the airport looking for them, cramming all the CB luggage in somehow, driving to Amsterdam (6 to 7 hrs with traffic) and getting stopped by the police (not for speeding but a random check at the border.

MAGRUDERGRIND TOUR FIN/ COKE BUST TOUR START!

So after all of that we fucking miss Seein Red and most of Extortion! We literally got there right as extortion was finishing their last 2 songs. We had to load in immediately and start setting up. I think the given stress of the situation we blazed through our set. People actually went off and it ended up being pretty awesome. Truthfully i was nervous to play with Seein Red to begin with let alone playing after them and us being late blah blah blah. We met the guys in the bands and they were both very cool. Australian slang "mad cutter" = awesome. Also our home girl Anna Vo from Australia/Germany/London/everywhere came out. Ronald the promoter was also a solid dude. The show was in the middle fo the red light district, so there was a million people everywhere. Our show slowly turned into a soul funk hip hop dj night. They were playing some boogie down productions as we were leaving. We left RJ and Avi at the club while we went to go to the sleeping spot This lady named Bianca helped out with the show and took us to her place to eat some food. She lives with/date Marco from vitamin x. Also the singer from lets grow was staying there.

Nico went back into the city to party with avi and rj while we stayed behind and ate food and hung out at her apartment. Good end to a crazy day.

10/8/10...Mulheim, Germany @ AZ Mulheim w/Brick Throw

We woke up and went to this guy named Noel's house where Jubert, Jeff, RJ, Avi, and Nico stayed at and ate breakfast. RJ was dropped off at the airport earlier in the morning. We all walked around the city for a few hours before heading out. Bought some stupid postcards, walked through the red light district, etc. We got a little lost on the way back to the van and when we found it there was a bolt in the tire. We dropped off avi at this hotel and left the city. About an hour outside of the city we stopped at a gas station and pulled out the bolt and proceded to fill up the tire with that foam that fills up leaks. Big mistake. Didnt work at all (the next day nico found out that we should of left the bolt in and let the foam sit for 10 minutes). To top it all off the bolts on the tire were put on with a machine and were nearly impossible to take off with a this wimpy wrench. So we called a tow truck guy to take off the wheel and then we replaced it with the spare.

Eventually we got to Mulheim. I saw my main man Yoshi there and Laura from Flex Your Milkshake Zine. Jan from AZ mulheim (who ive met a million times before) was there holding down the show. We had an awesome time playing. Nick got a bunch of german phrases translated including one that was "our drummer smells like shit". Thanks buddy. For the record i might smell bad after i play but i probably take more showers than theses krum bums on tour. So, suck it. After the show we had to drive to Nico's place in Hesdin, France (4 hrs away).

CONT.....lycanthrophy fucking ruled. seriously one of the best bands in europe. the show was awesome. we met this lady who took us around prague after the show. we hopped on this late night tram and upon entering it, undercover police came up to us and asked us if we had tickets. we thought we were able to buy them on the train but they obviously were not having it. we were fined 30 euro each. ughh. anyway, we walked around the city and saw some cool things. i told some guy at a falafel shop that was being a dick that we were in pantera. got back to the hotel at around 4am and had to get up at 10.

The next show was in Wroclaw, Poland. Upon arrival we went to our friend lepzig's place where him and his friends made us an insane meal. Homemade samosas, salad, and some other stuff. Delicious. There was an extremely cute cat there that slept on rj. Pictures to follow. The show was awesome. Lots of people. The drumset was destroyed by the end of the set. Sorry to the guy who let us borrow it. Afterward we went to leipzig's house and hung out. There was a post regiment sing a long (the polish people actually knew the words). Awesome night.

In the morning we woke up to the little cat lying on its back bathing in the sun. We also slept until like 2pm. It felt great. We arrived at the venue in potsdam just in time for food. Loffie the singer of Cyness was there to great us along with Frank from PLF and his lady friend. Cyness killed it. I drank 2 club matte's and was jazzed. We played a raging set, people went crazy, i saw Loffies gigantic self crowd surfing. Also Laurel (our ex yellow dog first euro driver) came out. Robert from refuse records was also there to give us the new coke bust 7"s.

Eindhoven, Holland - Bloodshed Fest

So the bloodshed fest in Eindhoven , Holland was awesome. Highlights were : Malignant Tumour, Afternoon Gentlemen (good seeing our grinding English lads), Idiots Parade (one of the best grindcore/pv bands out of eastern europe, 2nd time seeing them), Fubar, Weekend Nachos, and Wojieczech (i know this spelling is wrong).

It was especially awesome seeing the nachos dudes over here. I believe it was there first european tour. Sandro from RSR was also there holding it down for the german fast freaks. I think i had the Gado Gado (peanut noodles with tempeh) from this place Soho down the street 3 times while i was there. I still can't get use to the fact that you can walk in to a coffee shop and buy weed. Pretty damn cool. The church in front of the venue had catacombs that you can usually see into but the glass was all fogged up. Bummer. We saw a fight in front of this falafel place where this old greasy man in a nasty ponytail grabbed this kids leg and that was his way of "disabling" him. It was really weird and awkward. Horse cops came and scattered everybody. I feel like in the U.S. someone always gets arrested in those situations.

We slept at this backpackers hostel. Not too shabby. Oh and i also ate peanut noodles twice at the venue.

Mainz (meinz?), Germany

We played this place before a few years ago and they made us this seitan loaf that was pretty off the chains. This time around they made these ginger pumpkin walnut dumplings. Our buddies from dhibac/blockheads came and hung out as well as my token straight edge friend martin. The show room was small so it filled up quick. It was a lot of fun. The bartender was this skinhead. We talked about the templars, cock sparrer, and iron cross. He played oi all night hahah. We woke up early to a typical euro breakfast of bread, spreads, and coffee. Awesome.

Prague, Czech Republic w. Uprise, Lycanthropy

Upon arrival we were led into this room where there was food and drinks and what not. The food was good but weird. Spaghetti with green beans garlic and soy sauce. Strange. This show was with uprise and lycanthropy. *Heading to the venue now more on this later*

Magrudergrind/Coke Bust Tour 2010

Magrudergrind is playing 5 shows in europe and when that is over coke bust is going to be touring around for about 3 weeks. Yesterday I flew into Amsterdam and took a train to Eindhoven. Luc the promoter for Bloodshed Fest/Singer for fubar picked me up from the airport. I basically just walked around the tiny uber hip town for hours. I got a huge box of peanut noodles with tempeh and sprouts for 4 euros. Every time i walked into one of the fancy clothing stores i got looks like i was about to steal something so i left. The only band i saw that i was really interested in seeing was Malignant Tumour. I haven't seen them/listened to them since they made the mincecore to motorhead transition. Surprisingly enough they were really good. Nicolas from Bones Brigade Records/our buddy/driver was there doing what he does best: showing off his french charm. Nico and I stayed at this hostel with the M.T. guys and crashed out hard.

Today we met up with Avi and RJ who flew in separately. We play later today. Oh i forgot to mention, i went into a mcdonalds yesterday to use the bathroom and i saw a guy with a Romperprop (terrible porno gore grind band) hat eating a cheeseburger. When i think of pornogrind fans, for some reason i imagine them gorging on nasty meat. Today i am in a mcdonalds again because its the only place i can find with free internet. Fancy that.
